The dedication of the beautiful St Jude Church begins with great celebration.
Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere, of the Archdiocese of Kampala, Uganda was the celebrant at the Mass of Dedication of the new St Jude Catholic Church. Fr Francis and other clergy concelebrated and attended the beautiful Mass.
St Jude Catholic Church was established in Memorial of Laura Gillett, a very dear friend of Fr Francis Mayinja’s and a dedicated supporter of his Wambale Mission in Uganda.
The building was completed in early 2023 and the dedication has been greatly anticipated for months by the people in the village.
Already many Sacraments have been administered in the new church with new parish membership growing very quickly.
“We are extremely blessed by the generosity of the Gillett Family enabling the Word of God, the Holy Eucharist, and our beautiful Sacraments to be administered here,” said Fr Francis. “It is a glorious occasion to be thankful for the love shown in this gift.”
Truly a testament to the Power of the Holy Spirit in action!
